The ladder is provided with the suction line, side wire swivel sheaves and the ladder front piece.
The cutter ladders are available in two standard types:pipe-type,and box- type.
Compare with the box-type cutter ladder,the pipe type is easier to construct,so it is relatively cheap.The ladder is provided with the suction line, side wire swivel sheaves and the ladder front piece. Dredging depth is limited by the performance of the dredge pump.
The box-type design is best suited for mounting an submersible dredge pump.This is a stronger design for heavy duty and longer wear life,bucause the box-type makes the whole cutter ladder heavier than the pipe-type. The use of an submersible pump allows for a larger dredged density at depth.
